California inspires

So I'm finally in California, staying at my relatives house. They are just like us, my family in Norway, loud and proud to be exactly who they are. They are Lyche's, and on top of that they are Americans. If you are lucky enough to know my father's side of the family you would know what I am talking about. Here is the deal, my grand father's brother moved to the U.S when he started college and ended up settling in San Francisco where he got children and now they have gotten children so we now have three generations with Lyche's living on the other side of the world. Which is totally cool, specially when they are such amazing people...that might run in the family, to be amazing I mean..hmm..just a thought.

Yeah, you see, my family are the most amazing, hard-working, luckiest people I know. They are totally ordinary looking, nothing big, but what I do know is that they are the kind of people who really cares and wants what is best for you, in every way. I don't mean to show off my family, even though I don't see a sin in that, I jut wan to share what I have that I am so proud of having. Why shouldn't you be proud of your family when they are such beautiful people?

To be a Lyche means being confident, strong and down to earth. Creativity runs in the family, along with other qualities such as truthfulness and the ability to have faith even when the world seems like a scary and intimidating place. For you it might seem like any other family, but for me that is precious and rare, and sometimes we have to realize how great people are before it's too late and  that is what I am doing. I am reminding myself and everyone else that life is precious and unique, just like the people in it.

Peace. Ida.
